Beaphar Canishield 48cm

The Beapahar Canishield antiparasitic collar for dogs protects for 6 months against ticks, 5 and a half months against mosquitoes (including sandflies, which cause leishmaniasis) and 16 weeks against fleas.

Canishield from Beaphar is a polyethylene collar with deltamethrin as an active ingredient (this active ingredient is the same one used in the Scalibor collar). Deltamethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that kills insects through dermal contact and digestion. The active ingredient is impregnated in the collar and is released little by little over time and continuously distributed throughout the animal's fur, forming a protective layer on its body that protects it from parasites.

The dog does not absorb deltamethrin, but rather it is distributed through its fur acting as a repellent, so it does not represent a danger to its health.

This antiparasitic collar is suitable for dogs from 7 weeks.

When putting the collar on the dog, it is recommended to leave a space of two fingers between the neck and the collar so that it is not too tight, but not excessively loose either. The collar is considered to be fully effective after 7 days of use.

It is recommended to place the antiparasitic collar some time before the start of the insect season, which normally coincides with the arrival of spring.
